Frozen Head State Park and Natural Area encompasses more than 24,000 acres of wilderness area and is named for a 3,324-foot peak in the Cumberland Mountains, the top of which is often shrouded in ice or snow in the winter months. The impressive entrance leads visitors into a vestige of densely forested, unspoiled mountain splendor — once common throughout the Cumberland Plateau.
Classes will meet in the Emory Conference Room in the Visitor Center with field trips to areas within Frozen Head State Park and nearby Obed Wild and Scenic River property (National Park Service).
Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations up to 14 days prior to start of the course may receive full refunds. Within 14 days, partial refunds (up to 50%) may be given. Once the course begins, refunds will not be given for any reason.
