Advancing from the TNP Reptiles and Amphibian Course, this 4-hour workshop led by expert herper Eric Fann dives deeper into the natural history of Tennessee’s reptiles. This workshop will explore Class Reptilia and the 300-million-year evolution of these species to present day representatives. We will look at diversity on a global level and talk briefly about the sub-groups. We will also discuss snakes and their history with lizards and how venom has evolved in the reptile group. The course will focus on habitat, physiology, natural history, and present dangers. 2-hour lecture with live animal observations; 2 hours in the field.
This workshop provides 4 hours of Continuing Education.
