There are several ongoing citizen science projects within the Ghost River State Natural Area including:
-Willow-leaf Aster Surveys & Management:
This endangered plant is currently know from only three west TN counties. Identify the plant, search targeted areas, & assist in researching methods for population expansion.
-King Rail Surveys:
This elusive bird may be nesting in the shallow-water marsh areas of the park. Volunteers will conduct surveys and document their findings.
-Heron Nesting Colony Surveys:
Volunteers will report on nesting activities of the Great Blue Heron.
